explaining cancer to kids...
Dr. Fredrick Hagemeister, professor of medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center
will be leading an educational program for children who have a family member
or friend
with cancer and would like to know more about the diseases.
This program is free of charge and open to the public. It is geared toward
children in
elementary through middle school age and will answer such questions as
What does cancer look like?
How are tumors formed?
If someone in my family has cancer, will I get it?
What is happening in research to help cure cancer?
Date: Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 5-7 p.m.
Location: Montgomery County Library Branch Crossing/The Woodlands, TX
